Fullerton Glamping Staycation

As travel has been brought to a halt, staycations are the perfect short getaways that give parents the needed break and kids the needed fun and excitement.

We recently had the privilege of staying with Fullerton Hotel – Glamping Package staycation and we are literally spoilt. It was such a relaxing staycation we booked another staycation with the Fullerton shortly after.

Fullerton has such a long history with it dating back to 1928, where it witnessed many of Singapore’s milestones from being a Post Office to a front during the WWII. You can find bits and pieces of history in this historic building. If you wish to educate your little ones with the history of Singapore and the hotel, you will be glad to know that Fullerton has complimentary heritage tours that you can sign up for.

Welcomed with a bunch of glorious fruits and the specatacular view of the Marina Bay area.

We stayed Esplanade room, at 570sqf | 53sqm the humongous room had an awesome view of the Marina Bay area with the facing of Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Flyer. I can only imagine the view when the fire works are out for display.

Glamping Package Privileges:

You can book the package here

The children’s sleeping tent includes a sleeping bag, which you are able to bring home, and a constellation projector lamp which makes it fun both during the day and night.

However the best part for us parents is that the meals were all included in the package. We did not have to step out of the hotel or worry about the next meal. The moment we checked in we enjoyed a nice High Tea with refillable savories at the club lounge, and later came back for canapes and drinks in the evening.

The canapes served were truffle pasta, beef pie, fish burgers and even desserts, definitely full enough for dinner. Not to mention the refillable beverages both alcohol and non alcohol.

Breakfast was a sumptuous meal of local and western delights over looking the Singapore River. Not only were the portions generous, the food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend the Laksa & Nasi Lemak if you were to choose one. Though we were allocated an hour slot of breakfast, the hotel staff are kind enough to let you stay longer than your time slot when it is not too crowded.

After breakfast we headed to the pool. The Fullerton had a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the Singapore River, perfect to relax and unwind. The kids had fun spotting the river cruise whenever it makes its rounds as well. Children swim vests are provided however I would highly recommend that you bring your own floats and swim toys for your little one.

Do take note that you will need to pre-book the time slot at the pool and gym as well during this period. We saw about 9-10 other people in the pool during our session. The kind folks at the Fullerton will email a pre-check in form a few days before your stay where you can book your preferred breakfast, swim and gym time slots.

Another fun kids activity provided by Fullerton is the feeding of Koi fishes at 5pm daily. There are about 99 excited Koi fishes in the hotel lobby pond and jumps with hunger during feeding time, which makes it quite an exciting experience for your little ones.

Other than the Fullerton Heritage tours and Koi feeding, Fullerton also provides a free farm tour at their own Fullerton Farm. Little ones can explore a diverse array of fresh, tasty and nutritious ingredients which are grown, harvested, and used for creative cocktails, garnishes and dishes at The Fullerton Hotels.

The free tour runs every Tuesday and Friday mornings and it lasts for 20 minutes, reservations are required.

You can find out more about the Farm Tour and other experiences provided by the Fullerton here.

Apart from the many activities the hotel provides, there are many family friendly activities you can enjoy around the vicinity of the hotel as well. Just a stone throw away is the Asian Civilization Museum, Singapore River where you can enjoy a leisurely cruise on the River Cruise, rent a bicycle and explore the Marina Bay area and even have a mini family photoshoot around the beautiful hotel (like we did). Though I am pretty sure you will be spoilt with activities in the hotel you will not have any reason to step out.

Thank you Fullerton for the great memories.
